In February of 2018, the executive secretary of ACABT, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chen-Yeon Chu visited Chiang Mai Rajabhat University, Thailand to participate in the SAFE International Workshop on Developing Smart Communities with Green Technology. At the workshop, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chen-Yeon Chu met Prof. Dr. Hanylin Hidalgo, Director of the International Relation Office, Central Bicol State University of Agriculture (CBSUA), Republic of the Philippines. During the conversation, Prof. Dr. Hanylin Hidalgo emphasized that CBSUA would like to get involved in the issues related to green energy development and climate change. Therefore, Assoc. Prof. Chen-Yeon Chu invited the members of the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources and Graduate School to visit Feng Chia University (FCU), Chinese Taipei.

 

On the 29th of May, 2018, Dr. Amelia R. Nicolas, Dean of College of Agriculture and Natural Resources, and Dr. Charlito Cadag, Dean of Graduate School of Climate Change from Central Bicol State University of Agriculture, with total 17 delegate faculty members visited APEC Research Center for Advanced Biohydrogen Technology (ACABT) and Green Energy Development Center (GEDC) of Feng Chia University (FCU). The CEO of APEC-ACABT, Prof. Dr. Shu-Yii, Wu and the CO-CEO of APEC-ACABT, Prof. Dr. Chiu-Yue Lin, firstly gave a welcoming address. After that, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chen-Yeon Chu introduced APEC ACABT, Green Energy Development Center, and Feng Chia University. Within the meeting, Dr. Amelia R. Nicolas expressed their willingness to sign the MOU and also to strengthen mutual exchange and development in the future.

 

At the end of the meeting, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chen-Yeon Chu led the distinguished guests to have a campus tour in Feng Chia University. They visited the center's laboratories and the Bio-H2 Gas Station. They also visited the Geographic Information System Research Center (GIS Center), Renyan Education Innovation Center, Inno Maker Center, library, sport center, and etc.
