The International Seminar on Biomass and Biorefinery Industry (ISBBI) was held on October 2-3, 2018 in Hotel Bangi Putrajaya, Malaysia. This seminar is organized by the Research Center for Sustainable Process Process Technology (CESPRO), Faculty of Engineering and Built Environment, University Kebangsaan Malaysia(UKM) and APEC ACABT Malaysia Chapter as one of the co-organizer in this seminar. Prof. Dr. Shu Yii Wu, CEO of the ACABT and also the Dean of College of Engineering of Feng Chia University, has been invited as a keynote speaker, introduced the Biological Cycle of Circular Economy for Biomass Resources. Also, Prof. Dr. Alissara Reungsang, Chair of the ACABT Thailand Branch Center, introduced Thailand’s Energy 4.0 and the Utilization of Agricultural and Biomass for Bioenergy/Biofuels Production in Thailand. The seminar providing a platform for the dissemination and discussion of recent innovation, development on biorefinery conversion technology, chain development, economic value and social sustainability on subject to Palm Oil sector and conversion of biomass generated to the value-added product.
