The Sustainability Challenge 2019: Innovation and Invention Carnival was held on December 12, 2019 in Faculty of Engineering & Built Environment, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM). UKM-YSD Chair for Sustainable Development: Zero Waste Technology, APEC ACABT Malaysia Chapter, University Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) and Research Center for Sustainable Process Technology (CESPRO) as one of the co-organizer in this event. The event officiated by YB Datuk Seri Shamsul Iskandar Mohd Akin, Deputy Minister of Ministry of Primary Industries, Malaysia. Prof. Dr. Shu Yii Wu, CEO of the APEC ACABT and also the Dean of College of Engineering and Science of Feng Chia University, has been invited as a jury. Total 50 teams has been submitted the proposal at the preliminary round. Finally, only 25 teams was accepted and join the final pitch at UKM, Bangi, Malaysia. The teams presented an excellent ideas, concept and also displayed the demo or samples to show that how they try to solve the environment or climate change issues through apply the innovative technology. At the closing ceremony, the organizer awarded the grand awards included first prize, second prize and third prize, and the excellence awards included consolation prize, best poster and best video. Finally, Team Sym Eco Park from Feng Chia University, Chinese Taipei won the best video award.
